Revolymer TM Removable Gum Prototype

2008 represents an important year for Revolymer. Work has continued at our development facilities in Wales and at Bristol University to optimize both the taste, initial flavour burst and performance of our product. I continue to receive very positive requests and information about our products and I would like to update some of the key facts:

  • 200+ formulations have been prepared to identify a chewing gum which is is removable from a variety of surfaces
  • 1000+ pieces of chewing gum made in a food science laboratory
  • expert blind tests of our product versus commercial chewing gums showed it to have as good a chew in terms of mouth feel and texture as the leading brands
  • the prototype product chews for hours while keeping its pleasant soft chew
  • preliminary studies shows the product disintegrates over time in rain water
  • many adhesion trials on clothes, carpets, shoes to find the best overall product
  • together with food safety experts, ensured the safety of our product and submitted a dossier to the Food Safety Authorities
  • street trials in towns in the UK, with the help of local councils, to prove that our product is removed compared to commercial gums which 3 out of 4 times remain stuck to the pavement

We are currently finishing the final formulation of our product which will contain no unnecessary additives or animal products.

Revolymer, founded in 2005 from technology developed and licensed from the University of Bristol, has its development site in Mostyn, Wales. We are focused on commercializing UK technology and I am pleased with the progress to date. Next year we will launch our own brand and will be working with the chewing gum industry. This is both challenging and exciting. I hope you will support our efforts.

I would welcome you to contact me or Lieven De Smedt, Chief Business and Finance Officer, to discuss new product development using our technology, and invite you to take a further look at our website. Our business model is very simple: make it easy for our customers to work with us.

I look forward to hearing from you

Yours sincerely,

Roger B. Pettman
