Laboratory Technician
The role is highly practical and laboratory based with the main purpose to support the development and applications of our proprietary polymers in a variety of application areas.
We are looking for a self motivated, organised team member to carry out laboratory duties. You should have practical experience working within the chemical industry ideally with synthetic polymer or colloid chemistry experience and should possess at least an HND in chemistry. Good written and oral communication skills are essential for this role. The successful candidate will be required to operate within the company quality, environmental and health and safety systems.
Scientist / Rheologist
This is a key role within Revolymer’s research & development team working with internal development teams & external customers. A self-motivated team player & quick learner with excellent organisation, problem solving & communication skills is sought.
The successful candidate will play an important role in providing physical polymer science & material science expertise to a wide range of project activities involving the development of novel polymers & polymer based formulations. The work will involve the characterisation of these materials in a manner consistent with their intended end-use, for which fluency in the theory & practice of rheological characterisations & the ability to translate scientific information to real life phenomena will be essential.
Responsibilities will include:- Provision of company-wide support on polymer rheology.
- Design & execution of experimental studies.
- Data analysis & interpretation.
- Internal & external presentation of Revolymer’s polymer technology.
Candidates should be numerate & possess at least a BSc, preferably a MSc or PhD, in Chemistry or a related field & ideally have significant experience (greater than 3 years) of generating & interpreting rheological data in an industrial context. Experience of one or more of coatings, adhesives, gels, food products & personal care materials would be advantageous.
