In a "first proof of hypothesis" phase, we demonstrate how our technology can solve the product needs of a customer. In the subsequent "proof of concept phase", the first samples of the new polymers are made at small scale. In the "feasibility and full validation phase", the synthesis and the application of the polymers are then demonstrated. Revolymer is also committed to supporting our customers? product launches, and working with them beyond this stage by supplying polymers on a commercial scale.
We follow a simple "pay as you go" model, breaking down a development project into the various necessary phases, such as those described above, and defining the deliverables, measurable success criteria and project milestones in collaboration with our clients. In return, our customers get the licensing rights for any Revolymer background intellectual property related to the products and for the arising intellectual property developed during the project.
The company founded a new technology centre to support product development for customers in 2006, and has developed its first product, a non-sticky chewing gum, during 2007. It is also entering into collaborative R&D agreements to develop new generation detergents, paints and cosmetics with greatly improved properties.
