Roger Pettman is the founder, Chairman and CEO of Revolymer. Over the last 20 years, Roger has worked with some of the world's leading chemical and pharmaceutical companies. He is both a scientist and skilled business leader, with expertise in converting technology into revenues and shareholder value.

Roger was co-founder of ChiRex, a Nasdaq-listed pharmaceutical contract developer and contract manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients founded on technology Roger licensed from MIT, Harvard and Scripps. When acquired by Rhodia in 2000, ChiRex had approximately $150 million in revenues from more than 75 customers and had 621 employees in four facilities globally.

He has subsequently held senior positions with Rhodia and Bayer,before co-founding InnoTune, which specialized in the corporate and strategic turnaround of biotechnology companies and in commercializing world class science and new technologies. Roger is Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board of Manchester University's Centre for Excellence for Biocatalysis and a member of the Board of Directors for The Centre.

Roger has a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Sheffield and was a NATO scholar at Stanford University. He grew up in the North of England before settling with his family in Boston, MA.


Terence Cosgrove is a Director of Revolymer and the company's Chief Scientific Officer. Terence developed the technology which underpins Revolymer R&D and products in his role as Professor of Chemistry at the University of Bristol.

Terence is a world expert in polymer chemistry and has been fascinated by how polymers stick to surfaces. Terence developed the technology behind non-stick chewing gum. The principle behind the technology can also be applied to many other markets and products. Terence is a consultant to many industry firms and the author of over 150 papers and patents.


Lieven de Smedt is Chief Business & Finance Officer of Revolymer. He is a seasoned business leader, marketeer and manager, sewing together the various strands and operations of the Revolymer business.

Lieven has extensive experience over the last 20 years in delivering, managing and marketing products in the chemical, life science and pharmaceutical industries in Europe, The United States, The Middle East and Japan. He has overseen significant growth, trebling business at

Albermarle during the 1990s and participated in the 120 million Euro acquisition of a fine chemical plant in France. He was also co-founder and Managing Partner of Inno Tune with Roger Pettman in 2002.

Lieven is a consummate linguist, speaking five languages, most importantly finance. His role is to create sustainable new business with and for Revolymer's customers.


Stephen Brooke is a Director of Revolymer. Stephen is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Swarraton Partners. Stephen has spent his career in venture capital, working with companies across numerous industries in South Africa, the UK and US.

In recent years, he has focused on early stage technology companies spun out of universities in the US and UK, first at Columbia University Science and Technology Ventures, and then at IP Group plc, where he was Director of Business Development and on the company's main board.


Mike Townend is a Director of Revolymer. Mike has 17 years experience in all aspects of equity capital markets and joined IP Group from Lehman Brothers where he was Managing Director, European Equities and Head of Equity Sales to Hedge Funds. Prior to this,

Mike was an Executive Director at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette where he was recruited to build up business with hedge funds. He also has a further eight years equity sales experience at Banque Paribas and BG Bank where he was Head of Equity Sales.


Jack Keenan is a non executive Director of Revolymer. Jack has 30 years experience in the FMCG business including being the CEO of Kraft International, where he ran the Hollywood Gum franchise.

He was most recently on the boards of Body Shop and Marks and Spencer.


Simon Oliver is a Director of Revolymer. He is the Non Executive chairman of Dairy Crest Group plc and Pi Capital Limited and has a lot of experience in the FMCG business including founding Mendip Foods Limited and chairing The Cheese Company (formerly Express Foods) MBO.

He is non executive director of several companies and is also on the Board of the Ambassador Theatre Group.
