Caffeine gum will be the first Revolymer® proprietary product and is nearing the end of its development. The caffeine gum developed is a superior product compared to existing caffeine gums with a much better taste and release profile. The major markets for this product will be for:
- Drivers who would like a product to help them stay alert.
- Students who would like to keep alert without having to drink coffee and/or caffeinated drinks
- Sportsmen who need to stay focused and alert
- Travellers who would like to stay awake and help with jet-lag.

Nicotine Gum
Revolymer® is developing a new gum which technology helps mask the taste of nicotine as well as producing an environmentally friendly gum which will degrade with time. As smoking laws change throughout the world, people are looking for a nicotine gum to help smoking cessation and also to curb the desire to smoke when in a public place.
Opportunites
Anti-migrane drugs - pproviding rapid delivery of an API via the buccal mucosa, bypassing gastric absorption and reducing the impact of gastric stasis.
Anti-emetics - as a preventative for chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) or post-operative induced nausea and vomiting (PONV), particularly suitable with older children and young adults.
Analgesics - such as ibuprofen, aspirin, naproxen etc.
Existing Applications - improving release characteristics and taste of existing gum formulations.
OTC applications - particularly suitable for transition from ethical to OTC applications.
Mucoadhesives - opportunity to collaborate with Revolymer® for many other applications eg mucoadhesive technology.
